Dates

The Q-Hackathon takes place from April 8–9, 2026 at the University of Mannheim.

Eligibility

Participation is open to students and recent graduates. 
All participants must apply and be accepted to the hackathon. Teams can be formed before or during the event.

Prizes

Prizes will be awarded to the top teams based on the judging criteria.
More details will be announced soon.

Judging Criteria and Winner Selection

Projects will be evaluated based on:

• Technical Implementation
  Quality, complexity, and functionality of the prototype

• Innovation & Creativity
  Originality of the idea and approach

• Real-World Impact
  Relevance of the problem and potential value of the solution

• Business Potential
  Clarity of use case, scalability, and viability

• Presentation & Pitch
  Clarity, storytelling, and overall delivery

Winners will be selected by a jury of company representatives, partners, and experienced builders.

Q-Hack is an inclusive and respectful event. All participants are expected to behave professionally and treat others with respect.

This event follows the MLH Code of Conduct.

All participants must agree to and comply with this Code of Conduct throughout the event.

Any violations may result in disqualification and removal from the hackathon.
